Installing the Slider Kit
If you haven't already done so, install T-Tracks® on top ledge of your truck bed sides. The slider kit will work with either the 2" wide or 4" wide T-Tracks®. Click here for T-Track® installation instructions. Below is a summary of the steps required to install a slider kit on T-Tracks®. For detailed instructions, click here.
First, start by cutting guides in your toolbox. The slider kit comes with a convenient template to assist in cutting the necessary guide slots in your toolbox for mounting.
Next, you insert the UMHW sliders into the T-Tracks® and remove the knobs from the studs.
Now you lower the toolbox onto the sliders.
Once the toolbox is on the track and the studs are protruding through the guide slots
you can now attach the knobs to the studs. When you want the toolbox to stay in position, tighten the knobs and conversly, when you want to slide the toolbox, simply loosen the knobs.
You know have a smooth sliding toolbox! But ... not only that, you also have the strongest tie-down system for pick up and work trucks available! And, you can mount T-Tracks® on the outside of the toolbox and regain tie down points lost when you installed your toolbox!
